Governor Appoints Myser to Belmont County Court, Northern Division

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the appointment of Adam L. Myser to the Belmont County Court, Northern Division.


Myser, of St. Clairsville, will assume office on October 20, 2023, and will be taking the seat formally held by the Honorable Chris Berhalter. Myser will serve the remainder of the unfinished term and need to run for election in 2024 to retain the seat.


In 2013, Myser became a practicing attorney at Myser and Myser Law Firm. In 2018, he became a shared partner of the law firm. Currently, Myser serves as the acting judge for the Belmont County Court, Northern Division. Additionally, he serves as a solicitor for the Village of Barnesville and the Village of Morristown. Professionally, Myser is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Belmont County Bar Association, Belmont County Law Library Review Board, and the Estate Planning Council.


A two-time graduate of the University of Akron, Myser earned his bachelor's degree in marketing management in 2010 and his juris doctorate in 2013.


Myser actively participates in various community organizations. He is a member of the St. Clairsville Chamber of Commerce, a Valley Hospice Board Member, a member of the Thorburn United Methodist Church in St. Clairsville, a board member of the Belmont County Special Olympics, an advisory board member of the Belmont County Family Drug Court, a St. Clairsville Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees member, and a Community Foundation of Ohio Valley Internship Program Advisory Committee member.
